8th Annual International Russian Barbershop Harmony Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia!!!We were honored with an invitation from The International Fine Arts Institute (IFAI) and The Russian Ministry of Culture and Cinema to perform in the great concert halls of St. Petersburg. We also acted as a teaching chorus during master classes, under the esteemed tutelage of Dr. Greg Lyne, providing insight and education to directors and musicians from all over Russia, Europe, and Asia. Our own Tamara Putney-Esslinger instructed the master class participants about stage presence and making your performance visually exciting and meaningful ("Color your space with your face!"). She also worked as a teacher and mentor to a young women's quartet adding choreography and sparkle to their performance. Attending the festival with us was a men's chorus made up of Evergreen district quartet champions (similar to our own 22 Carat Gold chorus). The featured quartet was the 2005 Barbershop Harmony Society International Champions, Realtime! Checkout their site for some great pictures from the trip!
