About the Milwaukee Showcase ChorusThe Milwaukee Showcase Chorus was formed in January of 1990. We are proud to have had the opportunity to share our harmony with audiences at the Performing Arts Center, Whitnall Park, Carroll College, Lake Park's "Musical Mondays", adult care facilities, and area businesses and organizations. We sing traditional and contemporary music arranged in the 4-part barbershop style — tenor, lead, baritone, and bass. Our members reside throughout the Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington and Ozaukee County areas. Many of our members do not read music. We have a teaching quartet that learns new music first. At a regular rehearsal, chorus members, using their personal tape recorders, record the teaching quartet performing the song followed by placing their recorders very near their teaching quartet counterpart (tenor, lead, bass, or bari) to get a part-predominant rendition of the new song to take home and learn.
